About us

Alkhidmat High School (Khursheed Begum Girls Campus)
is a welfare project & a subsidiary of
Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Lahore
(an NGO and NPO registered with Government of Pakistan under Societies Act 1860).

The School is located in slum area of Rehmatpura known as ‘Nai Abadi Gohawa’, Bedian Road Lahore Cantt. The school works to impart quality education to children without discriminating caste and creed. The school works in 13 grades from Play Group to 10th. The toddlers are provided Montessori system of learning to help them grow with confidence and high self esteem. The school has a unique examination system whereby question papers are prepared unseen for Teachers and Students alike. Paper checking and marking system is similar to that of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Character building is an integral part of the school curriculum and all co-curricular activities…

Segments of Character building syllabus include:

  • Teaching of complete Nazra Qura’an from class Nursery to class 5
  • Teaching of meanings and commentary of complete Qura’an from class 6 to class 10
  • Weekly lectures on Islamic and moral topics
  • A large forum of Morning Assembly where students control and perform the activities.

The school works six days a week: Monday to Saturday.

Other Welfare Activities

We have established certain evening time welfare projects in the school building namely:

  • Alkhidmat Health Clinic for Women and Children
  • Alkhidmat Vocational Training Centre for women
  • Alkhidmat Free Support School(a street children project)
  • Alkhidmat Uniform Centre(to provide school uniforms to the students at cheaper rate)
  • Alkhidmat Water Filtration and Cooling System
  • Alkhidmat Ambulance Service
  • Alkhidmat Adults Education Centre (for illiterate adults)

Thus making this school a complete welfare complex. Beside these projects some other welfare activities are also performed in the school i.e.

 

  • Distribution of ration packs to deserving families
  • Distribution of Meat on Eid ul Azha day to deserving families
  • Distribution of winter quilts to deserving families
  • Free eye camps for students, staff and general public
  • Subsidy in tuition fee to orphans/deserving students.

Background

The school is built on 5 kanal land and it started working in April 2000 with name, ‘’Khursheed Model High School for Girls’’. School’s name was changed to ‘’Alkhidmat High School (Khursheed Begum Girls Campus)’’ in September, 2020.With hard teamwork, the school has become leading institution for Girls education in the area.
